I think we need to be on heat watch, alas, temperatures have definitely upgraded from yesterday’s forecast, and may now peak on Tuesday rather than Monday.
I’m only talking about temperatures here – see yesterday’s forecast for weather conditions.
There is still quite a wide range of possible temperatures as it will depend on exact flow of air – if we tap into the continental heat directly then we could break the June record.
So for Sunday we are looking at somewhere between 27’C to 32’C – 30’C being more likely.
Monday could be anything from 28’C to 36’C.
Tuesday then in the range of 30’C to 36’C most likely, but a small chance of something even higher. I have seen a 38’C on the European model from last night’s run, this morning’s model run is 36’C.
The current June record is 35.6’C – so this could be beaten, if we do tap into the continental heat directly.
Overnight temperatures from Sunday night onwards likely around 20’C or a bit higher.
