Generally warmer with a mix of sunny days, and cloudier days with a bit of rain – but not much. Certainly an improvement of the dross in June so far (unless of course you like it cool in summer!).
Thanks to Debbie for the photograph.
The general set-up sees high pressure trying to build over the UK, though low pressure currently to the west will head up between Scotland and Iceland during the early part of the week – and bring some weak weather fronts our way.

Today will be fairly sunny all day, some high cloud around at times making it hazy but broadly a very pleasant day. The northerly breeze taking the edge off but we should still make it to 21’C, maybe 22’C. Mostly clear skies at first but cloud will thicken later in the night – perhaps a shower by around dawn. Down to around 12’C.
Monday starts with some cloud and perhaps a shower – though the cloud likely thin enough for some hazy sunshine. Somewhat sunnier for the rest of the day but always hazy sunshine rather than clear blue skies. A bit warmer, around 23’C. Some cloud, some clear spells overnight – a small chance of a shower later in the night, down to around 14’C.
Tuesday looks warmer and somewhat more humid, again with a fair amount of cloud around but some hazy sunshine at times. Perhaps a shower later in the day. Around 25’C. Fairly cloudy overnight, some bits of showery rain possible at times – no lower than around 16’C.
Some uncertainty for Wednesday as not yet sure where a weather front will be – but more likely we see quite a lot of mid-level cloud with hazy sunshine. A chance of some bits of showery rain at times. Around 24’C.
By Thursday we still have high pressure trying to build from the south, at the same time this low pressure is trying to cross and getting squeezed north.

Probably it is sunny for much of the day, though some cloud is possible – especially in the morning. Likely quite hot also, around 27’C, give or take. Clear skies probable overnight, down to around 15’C. A small chance of an overnight thundery shower – no higher than a 5% chance as it stands, but something to watch out for.
Friday broadly speaking looks to see more in the way of sunshine, if maybe hazy at times – but there is a smallish chance of a thundery downpour developing. Around 28’C, so likely hot and quite humid – though some uncertainty on temperatures, it could easily be a couple of degrees either way. A fairly warm night likely, again cannot rule out a thundery shower but only a small chance.
Not especially high confidence for Saturday – the more likely outcome sees sunshine or hazy sunshine, and temperatures somewhere in the range of 23’C to 28’C. However, there is a chance of something cloudier, and again I cannot rule out some thundery showers – small chance, but a chance.
The more likely outcome for Sunday is that we start to see high pressure build over the UK – and this should then lead to a spell of dry, sunny and very warm/quite hot weather – with temperatures in the mid/high 20s. Maybe for a few days, but possibly for a week or so.
A small chance that we could end up notably hot, in the low to mid 30’s the week after, say a 20% chance. I cannot rule out something record-breaking though at this stage is just a very small chance. France and Spain certainly look scorchio and their upcoming heat wouldn’t be too difficult to tap into.
Enjoy the sunshine if and when you can. I shall be!
